About Superna
Superna (pronounced, "su-perna") meaning "heavenly winds", are a vastly original and dynamic female fronted progressive rock band. Electrifying songs full of heartfelt emotion, intensity and power drives Superna's dramatic modern sound. Fueled by a mix of heavy and complex guitars, vocal intense melodies and extraordinary changes, the music remains focused on memorable, haunting choruses and hypnotic rhythms. Not always running with the same set of musical colors, elements of jazz, Latin, techno, chant, reggae and acoustic guitars are incorporated with rock and metal to create music that moves your body and mind.
Powerfully low and uncommonly aggressive yet melodic female vocals give the music a totally fresh sound unlike typical female fronted acts in this genre.
The song writing, embodied with innovation, is truly inspired, ingenious and all out rocking. Percussion, keys, samples, special effects and turntables add to the depth and versatility of the music contributing to Superna's cutting edge sound.
